Jyrgalan village fully opened to tourism in the summer of 2017, at which time a number of locals renovated their homes to act as guesthouses suited to host and accommodate the needs of international travelers. Others built new accommodations in the village, including yurt and hostel accommodations, using their innate sense of Kyrgyz hospitality to design comfortable and cozy rooms that would make guests feel welcome.
When you stay overnight in Jyrgalan village, you're doing more than simply sleeping in a new place, you're taking part in a cultural exchange and a tourism project that directly benefits the locals involved. The accommodation options below are all run by local residents, and thus your money directly supports them, their families, and the local economy. All guesthouses are members of Destination Jyrgalan and have taken on an additional commitment — they kick back a portion of their revenue into social good projects in and around the village.

Note: There are no restaurants and only tiny food shops in Jyrgalan village, so the guesthouses provide home-cooked meals for travelers. All nightly stays include a free breakfast, and lunch and dinner are offered at a set price of 650-850 KGS per person. If you are going on a day trek, horseback ride, or biking adventure, your accommodation can provide a picnic or box lunch for 400 KGS.

Alakol-Jyrgalan Guesthouse

Baitor Guesthouse is a small, family-run accommodation with a triple room and shared bathroom available to travelers. There is also the option to spend the night in a yurt for 1000 KGS/person/night..
